Traveling like a trucker

I don’t know how truckers do this day in and day out. I have been on the road since Monday. I feel exhausted from just sitting. I have learned to adapt like I said in my past post, but it’s only temporary for me, makes it so I am more grateful for the people who do it so that we have what we need when we need it, but man to not just be taking a vacation and traveling, but driving for your job, the rules they have and the ports, and the slower speeds, then when you’re driving on the interstate through big cities and you’re hoping the GPS is taking you the right way because all the signs and directions say different things, man it’s very stressful, it’s not like you can just accidentally take a wrong exit or turn and just flip around or get back on as easily, and the drivers who just cut truckers off as if they can stop on a dime, ya, they about get squished from up here. Be careful people cause these truck are heavy and it will only hurt you if they hit you. For real though, I have sat in this front seat witnessing some craziness.
Another great part of it is when you have to go, like really bad and can’t just stop wherever whenever, so ya, I have had to go to the bathroom on the side of the road cause the rest stops in one of the states were all closed due to construction. I have showered once at least and thank goodness I have a hat cause my hair is nappy.
Also, do you realize that most of them only get paid by the miles they drive, but they’re restricted in the hours they can drive a day. Then to do it all over again. Wow!
I can honestly say this is not for me, traveling is fine knowing I get to go back to what I love and what feels honoring to me, but to live like this is not for me. Kudos to those who can do it and be healthy and satisfied with their lives. #fromhairtosoul #lifebyemily #makeoverinsideout #newadventures #truckinglifeforthesummer #needmorephysicalactivities #tiredofsitting
